Sunningdale, Windlesham, and Virginia Water

Today was the actual ‘bank holiday’ Monday. It felt so strange being on holiday today, that I almost wondered whether we should try to find a nearby Church if we could make it in time for the Service. It felt like a Sunday. We were collecting a friend from Heathrow airport today to bring them back home with us, so we decided to head South of London and ended up in Surrey. We had the opportunity to catch up with family friends in Windlesham where my Father used to live (at Foxhollow). We stopped off for lunch first at a very good English pub in Sunningdale first, it was called Chatts. I can definitely recommend the wedges, with bacon and sour cream.

We got a text from my friend in Milan to let us know that her plane had been delayed by an hour.  This was convenient for us, because it meant we still had time to go back to the lake and woods at Virginia Water for a good stroll before heading back to the airport.
