Stuart arrived last night. After dinner and a short walk down to the park, we had had it. So my original plans to go up the road to try the local pub didn’t come to fruition. Instead, we snuggled into our small lounge in front of the television and caught up with emails etcetera.
After a good night’s rest we got up early today for a drive into the country side. We went through Matlock, past the cable cars, and ended up in Chatsworth House. It rained to begin with, so we went straight into the cafe to take cover. Fortunately for us, by the time we came outside the rain had stopped and the sun had come out. We had a good stroll through the park. There was quite a lot of traffic because there was a rally going on as well. It was quite constrast, hearing the sound of the cars racing, against the beautiful back drop of the House. Also the rock band was playing at the rally, and not far away there was a brass band playing in front of the house.
