Where peace replaces stress

Do you need help?  Has the stress got too much for you?  Are you craving some peace and tranquility?  How can we get some peace into this planet?

The Brain scientist, Dr Jill Bolte Taylor, has some ideas on how we can spread peace in the world.  Dr Taylor talks about her experience of having a stroke, and how she lived through it and found “nirvana”.  Taylor pictures a “world filled with beautiful, peaceful, living people.  They could purposefully choose to step ot the rights of their hemisphere and expereince the peace.  What a stroke of insight this could be to how we live our lives.  And it motivated [her] to recover.  …. It took [her] eight years to completely recover.  … We are the life force power of the universe.  …. we have the power to choose moment by moment, who and how we want to be in the world.  … We can choose…”

Dr Taylor ends her talk asking the pertinent question “which do you choose?”… and when!

Of course, John Burton’s work states that peace alone is not enough.  If there is injustice in the world then peace is not a good thing, and that things have to change in order to put things right.  However, what Dr Taylor is speaking about is to do more with mental health, and how it is that we, as people, can find peace within ourselves.
