That pub thing

Tonight we attended the monthly get together at a nearby pub. The pub was not our local but it was still very close by and a good venue. My friends and I are particularly keen on the two pool tables there. It is fun to have a go sometimes.

We also had board games to play with. There was connect4 and dominos and some other game called mastermind. There was a spot quiz, really a music quiz, and then another written quiz. Then we were given balls of wool and scissors to play another game. I can’t remember the name of the game but it was the same game I remember playing with friends at school.

Talking about school, we missed my school friend Fei. She couldn’t join us in the end as she was not feeling 100 percent. I think it may be a cold or the flu as that seems to be doing the rounds. Steve and I both felt under the weather too, and nearly did not make it. It was a close one. But I’m glad I dragged myself out of the house, as it was a very enjoyable evening. It was lovely to see Rachel and Steve again and good to meet Sam. I also had the opportunity to meet Sally’s friends from Salsa. I’ll be seeing them again next Tuesday in fact, as I’ll be going to one of the classes that they teach. I’m really looking forward to it!

As always, the band were brilliant. I didn’t take any more video tonight, as i already have clips of them on my YouTube channel at

Before the evening ended we were shouted a plate of hot goodies. It’s usually something different each month. This month it was hot sausage rolls, and these were very tasty. And very much appreciated.

We’re looking forward to the next pub thing on the 10th of February.
