Free advice on money and budgeting, and financial capability has been around for some time now. This advice has usually been offered by the banks, either alone or in association with local citizens advice centres.
In the UK a new service is now being offered online called the “Money Advice Centre”. This is “the” place to go for updates on changes to tax rates and benefits. It also has separate sections on the following four topics:
- Parent’s guide to money
- Your money
- Divorce and Separation
- Pension and Retirement
The Money Advice website has won a “Gold” for Plain English, so you should find the site easy to read and navigate. The website for the Money Advice service is: www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk
