Day 2 – Focussed Awareness Meditation

For today you will continue with the focus awareness meditation. As you saw yesterday in Day 1, all you need to do is to count backwards. For example, in today’s video we will count down from 10 to 1. You will choose which words you wish to focus on, to repeat over again.Where you see the gaps here, you will insert your choice of words. Just remember to use words that are uplifting and inspiring, and otherwise positive in some way. Something that is aspirational and cheerful.

“Breathe in ………….., breathe out …………….”.The example I use in this video is “Breathe in calm, breathe out peace”. But you could substitute the words “calm”, and “peace”, with any words of your choosing.

When you say your own focussed meditation to yourself you may prefer to say your meditation to yourself, using your “thinking voice”. And that can make it easier for you to meditate as you will not lose your breathe by trying to speak out loud whilst meditating.
